So here we are in Kushiro Japan.
We walked ashore and found this market with free wifi. Of course, it would be poor form to use their wifi without purchasing something. So out of a sense of duty, I have purchased two beers. They are Sapporo Classic, so I think this is as close I'll get to "local" beer. I am severely language impaired.
It's October 13, Saturday (I think) the last two weeks have been sea time for the most part. It seems the common denominator each day is set your clock back an hour. The net effect is I have no connection with what time it is. It is daylight and we depart this afternoon at 1630 but as they say, "in travel all times are local"
Here is my beloved. She bought me these two beers and then disappeared into the market. Where do you find one like this; buy you beer and then leave you alone. I'm hoping to see here again. I'd miss her if she missed ships movement.
For any that may be interested, I have been very bad on my ketogenic diet. While I generally only eat meat and veggies, I have been cheating with ice cream each day. Furthermore, my exercise regimen which was so good the first week was MIA the second week. Having said that, I am pleased to report my weight had dropped by half a pound. I worked out this morning and was elated to see the scales had changed for me and in the right direction.
I was saddened to see the news about the hurricane (Michael) that hit the panhandle of Florida. I'm hopeful that he didn't do any significant damage as he swept past Pine Island.
Will check in again the next time we have a wifi signal.
Your face in this photo reminds me so much of your mother. I am struck by it.....enjoy the trip
ReplyDeleteThat's high praise. I don't know who sent it though.
